I just wondered if it had any high street shops? Just wondered as toyshop Debenham and miss selfridge have gone online and high street shops are closing, I am in no way saying the whole of England should one day turn into a massive gambling and casino and show country but the empty spaces could be turned into other things such as play areas, ice skating, arcade area, all of which need staff to run them

Yes, I have been to Las Vegas. It only exists because most of the rest of the country prohibits gambling.

Personally, I would begin to residentialise a lot of High Streets. It would provide more much-needed housing, and more customers for the shops that remain. Corner shops and coffee shops thrive in these sort of neighbourhoods.

Did you know there are more homeless, than people who have homes in Las Vegas, including a lot (can’t remember the stat) who work.

Never been somewhere I've wanted to go. Bit like Dubai, I don't get the appeal.

Went to a Wedding there, that’s all.
Lived in Florida for about 9 months when a teenager, put me off Americans for life.
Dubai again agree, had to fly there to get to other destinations but never seen appeal to visit.

Loved that shop. Always stopped off for a look at Subbuteo teams and Action Transfers on the way back from Race Street baths.

We need housing more than we need thousands of casinos and theatres.

What’s more it’s starting to happen, with more and more large town centre buildings being turned into apartments.

I’ve been three times. It’s mental. If you don’t like Las Vegas you’re probably someone who thinks lockdown should be permanent.

I've been to Vegas twice and had the best time of my life. First time it was part of my honeymoon. Did Vegas, Hawaii and LA over a 4 week trip.

2nd Time went to Vegas with friends for 5 days.

If you don't like Vegas you probably think lockdowns shouldn't exist. :)

    WTAF?
If you’re not a fan of either gambling, prostitution or stage shows, you think people should be locked up forever?

what about if I’m a fan of countryside, football theatre, comedy, beaches, wildlife.

I think that’s probably too long. You have to go for a good time, not a long time! Like Terry, the first time I went was as part of a 3 week road trip with the missus - California coastline, LA, San Francisco, Yosemite National Park, Death Valley.

Other times have just been long weekend with mates, four nights. Go hard and go home.

Its within a short (for Americans) drive of Yosemite, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, Mojave Desert and Death Valley. Even if you don't like the obvious, Vegas would make a good centre to see some of the best countryside that the country has to offer. Theatre shows, musicals and comedy are also available.

The Las Vegas Lights play in the USL Championship - their equivalent of our Championship just below the MLS. It usually has boxing, UFC and other sporting events on too.

Only artificial beaches though at some of the larger hotels.

Its not high on my list of places to go, but if life ever lets me do Route 66 I'll be taking a couple of days there.

Stayed for 3 nights as a base to see the Grand Canyon which was amazing. Hotel interiors are outstanding with each one themed but once we'd done that, I was glad to move on. The relentless crowds and sound of slot machines gets on your wick especially if you're not participating. It's full of homeless beggars and is as seedy as hell, especially around the old town. I'd recommend seeing it once but it's not a place I'd go back to.
