According to Doug O'Kane. We've got the minimum that we need, and not lost anyone. 3 new signings and no major outgoings in this window, including 2 strikers. I'd say that's a success. I'm not counting James, as he wasn't ours to lose.
James was neither rated nor wanted by the Coach according to the Club. Nuts in my view but hey - all about opinions.
still plenty of time for Mowatt to leave. And think even if he does not that we could do with at least one more mid-fielder. We have only 7 and 3 are out on loan.
No bids for any of our players as of 5pm according to Doug. I think we made our stance pretty clear by sticking a £1.25m price tag on Mowatt. Nobody is paying that for a player who's available for free in a few months.
I think I read earlier that Doug said the Austrian transfer window doesn't close today. No idea when it does close like. I'd guess if Schmidt was off anywhere it would be back to Austria so there's still time I guess.
If that explanation applied to a proven player like James, why would it not apply to the new signing? We can't keep him in the long term and he's unproven.
Not since we flogged potts in the middle of a promotion push who had 2 and half year left on his contract and then got promotion and sold lindsay, pinnock and our top scorer who had 2 year remaining. Looks like the penny has dropped.
Only Potts flogged in their 3 January transfer windows of any significance and he's now ***** we've had their pants down there, they'll get nothing selling him on. Not getting into all the rest, you know their reasons for leaving - good riddance to them.
Only if you think we were paying £18k a week. No one believes that do they? And then he went on loan to Rockerfeller Coventry!
We only paid for him when we won or drew a game. Given our form at the time, the club probably thought they had a bargain.
