On loan for the rest of the season. Meh. Manager Chris Hughton quoted as saying: "Glenn is a player I know very well and he has an excellent pedigree at this level. Certainly he will add leadership and experience to our squad between now and the end of the season." Apparently players like Grabban, Knockeart, Bong, Dawson, Jenkinson, Colback, Ameobi, Arter, Taylor, Krivinovic don't bring sufficient leadership or experience. Their problem is too many older, poorly motivated players, comfortable taking high wages and with insufficient drive / determination to succeed etc. They keep repeating the same mistakes imo. Much rather have our young, developing and hungry squad.
Don't think Murray would've been guilty of the brainfart that Grabban and Knockaert were, when they managed to keep the score at 0-0 when it seemed easier to score.
You've just cheered me up and made our point at the weekend look better. They're definitely a top six side on paper.
Why.. what difference does it make. Any good en's and we sell em on.. if not they fall by the way side. Our club is in a perpetual flux..
Another player well past his best. He might keep them up, but nothing more than that. I remember being told on here that Darren Bent would score more on loan at Burton, than Oli McBurnie would for us. Only because Bent was more experienced. Oli only went and scored 7 more goals than Bent did.
Your right id rather see a old pro here for his last pay day and watch him go through the motions. The picture of him signing with the shirt looking like he would rather be anywhere else in the world is what its all about. Murray minght do well under hughton but the forest squad on paper shouldn't be where they are in the league seriously underperformed.
If our squad was deeper talent wise I think the club would sell. I think they've resisted the urge because the back up is sadly lacking.
