That’s talking about the push on Woodrow from the Cardiff player. It actually was headed in by Flint not Woodrow.
Just lip read what the ref said: "no penalty, Forest are a massive club, we don't want teams like Barnsley in this league".
I was just about to post on this very topic. The guy ran from distance to shove Cauley, and he was in the open and not obscured by a sea of players.
I'm a fan of VAR for such blatant incidents as we have experienced in our last two games. My issue with VAR, is how it is used for goals, not that it is used. They need to revisit the whole implementation. Watching on TV and seeing goals being disallowed over centimeters is pathetic. That is not why it was introduced. There has to be a better way.
Couldn't agree more. The way it is used for offside decisions is an implementation that I am sure no fan would ever vote for. I would hate to see that in the championship.
I appreciate that not everyone shares this view but I think it works well for offside. Offside is binary - it is either offside, or not, and it’s very difficult for a human being to be looking in two places at the same time. not convinced by some of its other implementation but I think it’s fine for offside
For the instances we're referring to (the Cardiff disgrace and yesterday's shambles that cost us four points this week) then VAR would be huge. And fair. But yes, the offside nonsense is exactly that. But I think offside as a rule needs binning anyway. Get rid of offsides. It'd make the game more exciting.
