Wonder how they’ll manage on only £7k pw, till they get what’s owed. Bless the poor souls. Wonder how much Bannan’s new contract signed this week is worth. ?
“We never deferred player wages like another club” no Dejphon, you just delayed paying them, that’s obviously completely different...
We are one of a literal handful of clubs who’ve paid wages in full throughout the pandemic. An actual handful. Our fans’ backing is huge. Never doubt that.
I have read it as £7 k per month not a week , so some of them will be a considerable amount down on their contracted monthly wage , happy days !
Thanks mate. Think I must have thought no one is on less than £7k pw. Due to how massive they are. That’ll be the kit man then.
at least the lower paid are being paid, the poor barstweards over 7k can at least utilise the food banks!
Chansiri calling Paul Cook unprofessional for supposedly talking about the manager's job, and he can't even pay the players on time. Such a shame it's happening to such a "massive" club!
Putting our mutual dislike/hatred of the Piggies on one side for a moment (hang on while I put me tin hat on....) let's not forget that their players/staff are human beings just like us with bills to pay, mouths to feed etc. Ok, the numbers are different but they are generally good people doing their jobs who shouldn't have to worry about being shafted by an asian "businessman" who's only interested in lining his own pockets. Sermon over...
Good point Harry. Imo No tin hat required mate you make valid points. I Think Chansiri is taking the club down a dangerous path. Re financial fair play etc. And is probably ready to throw the towel in so to speak. The point re wages. No one under £7k pm. Is losing anything as far as I can tell. Those on above that are not going to lose any money. ( wages are being deferred above £7k ) Would they be visiting the food banks? . They are very fortunate to probably be able to see themselves through to the next paycheck. That’s where sympathy is lost. If they haven’t put money aside for a rainy day. I’m not blaming the players. they would probably be patient and don’t like the publicity it creates. it’s how the press handle the news story. And people’s interpretations. I’m so glad our owners have been a lot more responsible in the financial affairs of our club. We may not all agree how it’s run. But surely grateful for that.
Not sure he's lining his pockets at the club's expense, he's poured money into the club but it doesn't seem like he has much grasp on how to manage a football club and refuses to delegate.
Didn’t we ask the players to take a 20% cut and they said no, we don’t get paid as much as the rest of the division in the first place?
