Is today the day? 1.00 Doncaster 5/1 Requires a leap of faith, but his Boxing Day run was better than it looked on paper, and this is a less competitive race.
Definitely got a chance but the 2 in front of it in the betting have solid form., Brianstorm ran a cracker last time after a long lay off but sometimes the 2nd run is a bit flat and may come too soon though the fragrant one is a dab hand when the going is soft. Personal preference if I was having a bet would be Le Grande Fromage, got outpaced over 2m last time until staying on well and the extra 3f should be in his favour. Interesting jockey booking too with Richard johnson on Race probably won by an unconsidered 33/1 shot now
This is such a tricky race and just about all of these have a chance if things drop. In fact, it's so open that I've had a small each way on Cherokee Bill (44.0 on the exchange). Not as daft a bet as it first looks. There is likely to be a strong gallop set by Slanelough and Discko Des Plages and it may just set things up for something sitting off the pace. At these sort of prices and with it being so open I had to have a small punt on an outsider. I also like the each way chances of Uther Pendragon - 2.55 Lingfield, Gold Souk - 4.05 Lingfield and, at Navan, Agusta Gold should be fit and raring to go in the 1.55 after an excellent comeback run recently.
No show from Oistrakh there. I've quickly deleted him from my tracker before we get to the cliff edge!
Didn't watch the race Mr Kaht. However, with it being the exchange there were 4 places on offer for Cherokee Bill
Excellent, Mester! Nice place! Looks very dead going out there. The Sky Bet Chase tomorrow will likely be a slog, and Cheltenham already off!
