Just a quick question for anyone who's had the vaccine (The Pfizer one in particular). Did anyone feel nauseous, shivery and get a headache in the few hours after they'd received it? And if so, how long did it last? Thanks in advance
I had the AZ one last Tues aft and felt really poorly with flu symptoms for about 5 hours- fever, chills and ached everywhere. Then suddenly wore off. Paracetamol definitely helped later on. My symptoms appeared after about 10 hours. My girlfriend had the Pfizer one and had some fever like symptoms that wore off after a few hours. Lots of my colleagues have now had both vaccines (obviously not mixing!) and not heard anyone else report any side effects of note.
I had it almost 3 weeks ago early morning. No problems at all until the evening. Got the chills despite the heating being on, but nothing bad. Then just before bed my legs turned to jelly. Went to bed, woke up numerous times with mild discomfort around the injection site, got into a comfier position and each time got straight back to sleep, no problem. Following morning, all symptoms gone. Overall, absolutely nothing serious at all. Awaiting 2nd dose now but looking like nothing imminent.
I had my first Pfizer vaccine ten days ago, felt fine afterwards but just had a stiff arm for a couple of days.
I could have had the vaccine at the weekend through work. However, chose not to because I felt they should cover me whilst I work to have it. Not in my own time. I maybe should have arranged to go but didn't out of principle and I was still p1ssed off at not being paid for the snow day.
My mother-in-law (83) had her first dose of the Pfizer jab on Saturday. No effects. Still a pain in the neck. (I'm kidding. She's really a lovely woman.)
My nan had hers a few weeks ago and has been fine. My mum got her first yesterday and went ok too. I have my first booked for Wednesday so hopefully mine goes ok too.
Had it last Friday the Pfizer one just a bit of a sore arm that night it’s gone now,the ache not my arm before somebody comments.
My parents had the vaccine last Thursday and were suffering from pains in arms and back together with headaches. They felt sleepy the day afterwards as well. The recommendation was to take paracetemol, which sorted them out after a day or two.
Thanks for all the comments. The other half has popped a few paracetamol, so hopefully that eases any nausea etc.
