Shtraight Shtriker He'll just be glad of the three points. Frushtrated And many more I can't remember right now. Where do they dig em up from?
Blimey! It's not that long since you were angry because a female presenter on Bargain Hunt had the audacity to speak with a Scottish accent!
makes me laugh all this do not mention sex or colour business, if there was a mugging in street you witnessed "yes officer it was a human being that did it. that is all I am prepared to say in case I offend anyone"
How does the OP know that we're listening? I'm pretty sure that he's using the word "woman" in a descriptive sense. Is that not allowed? There's nothing in his post that criticises her gender, just her pronunciation. Before I get jumped on, which of the following would be acceptable? "I've just seen a man crash his car" "I've just seen a woman crash her car" "I've just seen someone crash their car" I'm asking because they all seem ok to me and I'm wondering if I'm missing something.
yes but she was spoiling it every time they picked up an antique to buy she was saying "auch aye the noo "
Btw. Apologies if my above post looks to be singling you out. I don't mean it to come across that way.
These days, you say you’re English... Do you normally say in every day conversation ‘I spoke to this 6’ 2” white man of average build wearing a black top and blue jeans with a tattoo on his right arm and short brown hair last night and he said it was going to snow tomorrow’? Or do you include more detail in a police description than you do in every day conversation when it’s unnecessary?
But if I’m not watching (I’m not) then I don’t care that it’s the woman presenter either just like I wouldn’t care if he said ‘the presenter in the blue top’ if I’m not watching it doesn’t help and if I am I can tell it’s the person with the speech impediment if it’s obvious enough to post about it. It can just be ‘this presenter’ unless a name is offered up. Also, I’m sure he has form for this sort of thing. Not once have I seen him say ‘this man presenter...where do they dig them up from?’
its all nonsense these days, my dad called everyone love, even the men and no one cared, worlds gone mad
