    Crewe left back / wing back. Seems to be one of the more highly rated full backs outside the top two leagues. Would’ve liked to see us in for him.

    Surely we can compete with them for wages, simply by paying them

    We are interested in him apparently according to the itk man on tykes talk like you say we probley can't compete with the massive though.

    No idea on his talent other than him being highly regarded. I do like the idea of signing a LWB though as we're lacking in that area and I think we'd probably universally agree that it isn't Styles' best position.

    I would think that if a LWB is coming in for close to a million pounds, then a certain midfielder might depart for a similar fee before the end of the month. Because the replacement for said midfielder is already at Oakwell.

    I wouldn’t read too much into it. We might be needing a replacement for the replacement of said midfielder at some point in the next 12 months anyway.

    Possibly. But my main point was that if we're replacing Mowatt, it's with Styles, so signing a highly rated and promising LWB could be us preparing for some activity out. I can't see us letting Mowatt run his contract down as it just doesn't make financial sense to me.

    Me neither. I think any remaining transfer activity might be dependent on Mowatt leaving. I'd like to see Styles in the middle so it's a no brainer for me. Sell Mowatt sign a LWB and another forward. Then move out Miller and Schmidt.
