I had an 8:00 am appointment at the Hallamshire hospital this morning. I could not believe the amount of traffic on the way and in Sheffield. Are we in lock-down or what ?

Well I think it’s brilliant, cos they definitely weren’t teaching them to drive for the 10 or 15 years before lockdown if the standard of driving is anything to go on!

You can't. Or at least instructors can't give lessons and learners aren't insured for journeys.

I thought the exact same. Was at Sheffield children’s hospital with the little one on Saturday morning. Loads of cars on road, especially when ya get near the pig sty.. ridiculous

You can have a learner drive if it is an essential trip.

Basically a lot of people still have to go into work, me included.
Not everyone has the luxury of working from home. The alternative is to instruct all manufacturing and construction to shut down which would be a disaster for jobs and the economy and something I really hope doesn't happen.
