It really won’t. He gets nowhere near this starting lineup.

It'll be interesting to see what Valerien can do with him once he's fit. There's no doubt he'll get his chance under him and Valerien's ability to get something positive out of players written off by some fans.

Totally agree mate. Loads of players were written off, some by myself, have come back into the team and started firing under Valerien. The best one for me is Victor - what a transformation we have seen! :D

It's the mark of good coach, and the players will run through brick walls for him now.

    That's why he's a professional Head Coach and we're all pseudo coaches.:D

Could've said the same about Adeboyejo. I don't think many expected Sibbick to play for us when he came back from his loan spell either.

^^ This. I would have said that Toby Sibbick wouldn't have played for us again. Shows what we know

There's nothing wrong in any of us expressing our views. But it always makes me smile when individuals convince themselves that THEIR opinions are more valid than others and speak with greater authority than anyone else. This is usually shown by their condescension towards the views of other supporters.
I'm glad I know bugger all about football.:D

Bit of a fan of Ben, he reminds me a little of Bobby Hassell with his tough tackling and determination. Although he does have quite a few flaws. Would be interesting to see how he’d fit in this current back 5, would allow Styles to play further forward even though he’s been immense there.

Interesting side note: Ben was supposed to be released when he was part of the U23’s but Bobby convinced the higher ups to keep him on.

Fair point regarding Victor, although I did always rate Sibbick to be honest and thought he was harshly dealt with. I've paid a lot of attention to Williams though from the west stand and he's never been a Championship footballer, if Big Val gets him up to scratch it'll be a miracle.

I think you are being very harsh on Ben Williams , he wasn"t the finished article & was learning his trade in a struggling side & has been hit by a serious injury , let Val work with him & see where the lad ends up before writing him off, there are other examples of players at the club who did not look championship class , Anderson being a prime example , so cut the lad some slack & give him the time to fully develop before writing him off .

I’ve not been convinced this far by Ben Williams but I do think he’s probably better as a wing back than pure full back.

How far off fitness is he?

Glad to see he’s recovering well.

I don’t see him as a starter but we need as many bodies as possible with games coming thick & fast & players likely to miss games through Covid.
