    looking at her sat in chair an old lady, you would never have thought she was a Spitfire pilot, wonder if they used to thumb a lift home,with Spitfire trade plates under arm,

    It’s a fascinating story. :) Not just Spitfires, they delivered the long range bombers too. But not allowed to fly in combat. Make of that, what you will..o_O
