Had his hands all over him. And how did the commentator think it was a free kick from a foul in the middle of the box?
Two hands on him whilst bundling him over from behind. Stonewall penalty and the useless commentator should have known it wasn't a free kick when it was clear to us at home.
Nailed on pen, utter rubbish by the commentator, just trying to big up Tranmere's effort, which, quite frankly was weak at best, we'll not have an easier 90 minutes all season.
It was a foul and I shouted for it but it was a bit soft - the kind other teams used to get and we never did. That has changed this season - we have for some reason become more fashionable as a club and have been getting a few decisions I think. How the commentator thought it was a free kick when he fell forwards and was still in the box then I’ll never know though. Bizarre.
Clear penalty, not doubt about it, I'd have been apoplectic if that hadn't been given. Anywhere else on the pitch and nobody would say it was "soft".
Spearing was wrestling with people off the ball all game be better off playing rugby for saint helens
I think when there’s not much danger & the players going away from goal it’s often seen as soft. Just stupidity from the defender.
Jay Spearing had committed the same foul 2 minutes earlier in midfield, free kick given,if he commits it in the box,it's a penalty, simple.
Forgot what a niggling little moaning sh*that Spearing was. but this is the type of Pen that we dint get at one time...so maybe it's our turn now..
Irrelevant what I think in a way but I disagree with you. Tranmere weren't crap for a team well below us in the pecking order. They were second best, yes, but they were well organized and one or two of em had some nous. They put a decent effort in and stayed in the game. Not at all bad.
I thought it was soft at the time then I noticed in the slow motion he gave him a pull on the right shoulder. Nailed on Pen. All credit to Tranmere for giving us a game.
Absolute 100% stonewall penalty. Defender impedes attacker by making physical contact with him, while making zero attempt to play the ball. I don't really see where there is even any debate.
