With almost as year to make plans how has our government so massively ****** up the vaccine rollout?

It's true though. Why would I excuse the failures of those who run our country by saying ah but someone else is just as bad?

There is literally no justification for such a poor rollout and for having medical practitioners now scrambling around trying to gain approval to give vaccines. They've had almost a year to prepare.

I know it may be only a small point and largely irrelevant but if they hadn't spent a week focusing on justifying cummings' behaviour it was a week they could have focused on this. They've wasted to much time

 

Thing is though the rest of Europe seem to be miles behind us at the moment. If I lived in France for example I'd be using the UK as a favourable comparison

For what it’s worth I think to get to a point where we have been able to mass produce a vaccine to help the fight against C-19 and start vaccinating 200,000 people a day then it’s going in the right direction, I’ll reserve further judgement till the end of the month to see if they are carrying out the numbers they have promised as opposed to your method whereby you criticise before it’s had to change to really get rolled out en masse

 

Matt Hancock stated this morning that he expects the average to be 200,000 per day till autumn. What else can we go on other than the current speed and the expectations of the health secretary?

I predict that by about about 4 weeks after we’ve inoculated the first 13 million. We’ll be down to less than 50 deaths a day. So by around end of April.

True all hospitals close at the weekend.

 

A lot of essential services at hospitals do to be fair including some emergency care. Though the fault of that is firmly at the feet of the government underfunding

 

My understanding is that it makes more sense to vaccinate more with one jab now, than it does to insist upon giving a second dose to those who have already had it.
