Not surprised, according to the tv reports it’s been virtually one- way traffic and Blackburn have absolutely pummelled them missing some absolute sitters. Of course the main stat is the score line
He plays his first game for a couple of months, doesn't get subbed off and they win away from home with a clean sheet to a higher league side. I would say it's a pretty decent debut and good luck to him.
I hope I’m wrong, but I suspect this loan move will expose Simoes as a player of only modest ability. A career in the lower leagues beckons.
Watched the game on FA Player. Didn't exactly catch the eye. Commentator said "Simoes has had a quiet debut", reasonable assessment, he needs to get to know the rest of the team/squad. Obviously jury out so far - he'll need to do a lot more to mame VI want him back - but, early days.....
this just about sums up how i saw him in our games. He seemed to drift in and out through a game when i thought he should be imposing himself on the game. When he had spells where he did something well he looked to have potential but seems also to have spells in the same game where it drifted by. Hope a run of games can step up his 90 min involvement and concentration
He’s far too lightweight in my opinion. He’s talented but he’s like a 15 year old playing men’s football. If he could bulk up a bit there’s a player in there, if not then he’ll find it difficult.
