Pathetic from the Police imo, two women traveling only 5 miles to exercise, wonder if the hierarchy within the police have just finished an exchange with North Korea
Worsborough res was one of my happy places during the 1st lockdown. The police there just had a general chat when we were sat on a bench having a drink and a bag of crisps.
I bet you are one of those that thought that you could only exercise for 1 hour during the last "lockdown". Just because somebody says it on the news doesn't necessarily mean it's a regulation.
If only they lived in Bradford, they might have been better informed by their friendly neighbourhood covid teletubby
Nothing as bad from Surrey police who state they are focussing on larger gatherings. They could do with visiting the kiddies play area on our village green - when I walked past yesterday there were around 20 kids and 10 adults all milling in a fairly small area like it was last year including a couple of groups of 3 adults standing within 1m of each other face to face having a good natter - thats a lot worse than 2 people walking side by side 2 or 3 metres apart
a lad at work lives in Jordan Thorpe which is in South Yorkshire. His nearest field is a quarter of a mile from his house in Derbyshire. Is that also unacceptable as it crosses the border into 1930s Germany?
I suspect that survival rate will improve because of the steroids they are giving people and they know a little bit more about treatment in general. As I said the other day the increase in people in hospitals is largely because of this, ie. folk arent just dying anymore, they're surviving longer but having to wait for recovery (or death) so the hospitals are stacking up with numbers. IIRC There were 800 people admitted to hospital in London a few days ago, that's equivalent to the entire bed capacity of Guys & St Thomas's hospital alone.
Living in Egham it's only a couple of miles to Windsor but I cross the border from Surrey to Berkshire . Should I watch out for the police
It is illegal to leave your property without a reasonable excuse. So you talking in the street to your neighbour. its illegal.
Bloody hell, that's 5 Miles up the road from me.... Apparently the police are at Calke Abbey (National Trust place about 7 miles from me) and they are fining anyone who've traveled from Nottingham, Derby or Burton.
Is this snake oil? https://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/taffix-coronavirus-nasal-spray-covid-19553801 I mean that first defence stuff is supposed to reduce you getting colds, so the theory is sound.
I saw something a few weeks back about a family whose house was as you say on a county border and they literally couldn't get to the street without crossing it and technically breaching the restrictions. Within 2 miles from my house I can go from Derbyshire into Leicestershire in one direction and 4 miles in another direction I'd be in Staffordshire.
But going for excercise is a reasonable cause so as long as you leave home for excercise if you meet a neighbour doing the same thing there is no law against talking to them. also nothing to stop you both sanding in your gardens and talking over the fence
The silent "t" eh Well actually Sanding in your garden is definitely allowed, whether its allowed to have a cup of tea in your garden and chat over the fence - now thats the question - does that then constitute a party and illegal gathering even if you are both on your own property.
