    I'm sure he's said he doesn't want to be a Manager/Head Coach again. Finds it very stressful and I think it would be at Port Vale. I remember the days when Barnsley would regularly be beaten by Port vale, Notts county, Colchester, Southend and the like,how times change.

    This is correct - he’s stated several times he likes to be the assistant more out of the limelight. Found Mansfield too stressful as Manager and affected his home life.

    Nope. He took the step up at Mansfield, and has openly said since (even before he joined us), that head coach/manager might not be for him.

    The stress and the impact on personal life it had wasn’t really for him and his family. He took too much home with him each day. Fair play to the guy - takes some balls to say it.
