Does anyone know anywhere than has bottle bins? I.e supermarkets ect. We tend to end up with too much for the brown bin so I used to take them to the tip. But the queues these days are ridiculous.

I used to use the ones in Morrisons car park in town when I lived there. Dunno if that helps you.

Whilst being a Olympic level drinker my brown bin has been okay, mainly due to the fact pop and beer cans I’ve been bagging separately and taking to Athersley Rec. since the pandemic started they have been weighing them in to keep the club going.

I'd be surprised if any of the large supermarkets didn't have them.

Where I used to go, avoid it these days. Social distancing rules have led to large queues and long wait times.

That’s an advantage I have living in student territory, there’s almost one on every corner. As I don’t really drink though it always makes me feel a bit sad nipping along to recycle my pasta bake and pickled onion jars whilst everyone else is depositing their wine and spirit bottles!

In Leeds there isn’t house recycling, you have to go to a recycling bottle bank. Unbelieveable.

I do find it quite weird that we don’t have a bin for glass but, as I say, there are bottle banks everywhere. I much prefer Leeds’ system where we just have one bin for all recycling (except glass) compared to the multitude of bins and boxes my mam and dad have back home.

Well, yeah, that's why I prefer it. What other reason for a preference would there be other than convenience really so long as it all gets recycled?
