Or if we are just seeing how bad Struber was.

    Maybe a bit of both?

We couldn't even score a goal this season under struber.

Ismael has a broader knowledge of English football, having been a player here IMHO.

Struber wasn't a bad manager, he transformed our ability to defend during the shut-down last season. We were laughable prior to that. After the restart we were very good.

I don't like the man, but he kept us up, against all odds.

I think Struber insisted on playing out from the back which caused us more trouble than good. We needed to find out how to stop those silly mistakes that cost us points last term and big Val has done that.

    Struber was fantastic.

We wouldn't have just won two Yorkshire derbies in the Championship were it not for him.

We'd have been playing Accrington or MK Dons or something.

Out of interest Jay why don't you like the man that kept us up against all odds and gave us lifelong memories?

Struber's bit is when we actually get it on the floor and play it about.

Which was for about a minute in total today. During which time we scored two goals.

The rest is rough and tumble Val. Which works, and I'm not complaining.

It's almost certainly neither. VI is doing well, and most likely has more points per game than will be sustained with the squad he has. Struber did superbly to put together a plan post lockdown which kept us up. Both managers did much to garner credit. Football teams tend to go through good and bad patches, evidenced by about 150 years of football.

There's only a question buried in your post if you're looking for hyperbole.

I like the bloke he did well to keep us up last season but I think if he was still here we would be in the bottom 6 with the tippy tappy stuff, struggling to score. Were abit more direct now we even kick it straight upfield from kick off but its getting results.

I don't judge a person on the job they do, I don't care if someone is the top of their field in microbiology or work in McDonalds, if they're a decent person that's all that counts. I think Struber did a good job for us. I don't let my feelings about him cloud that judgement. Nor do they alter what I think of him as a person. I don't care to go into why I don't particularly like him as a person. I gave some of those reasons on here at the time, but he's gone now, so I see no reason to go over old ground.

Struber did that. He worked out we weren’t good at it, despite persevering he changed and we stopped looking like idiots
