I hate shopping and large crowds of people irritate me. Loose my patience with arseholes meandering at 2mph and then stopping completely randomly with no thought for anyone other than themselves. On the very rare occasions I shop in person, if I want to look at something in a window I will move closer to it and make sure I'm not blocking anyone else. Just urrrgh - hate the places, not just Meadowhall but any shopping centre at all. It's not even a phobia, just get so irritated in crowds. So, nope, it's not for me.
Had our lasses daughter and partner + kids down for Xmas a few years ago, on their must do list was Meadowhell for Boxing Day sales. Pure hell fora good few hours. Sure we took the son in law down to Oakwell for a loss vs Derby, . ***** day all round
I've spent many a happy hour at home with my feet up, while my missus goes round Meadowhall. Paul Sykes is a genius.
Absolutely rammed again today. But I can't go for a sit down meal with the wife in a Covid secure restaurant.
Been once since March but didn't buy a thing and we left. Rarely head out to any shops other than Asda and Aldi these days due to my refusing to queue outside any shop policy. On the whole this has ment huge sums of my money going to Amazon. They may have a poor record on many fronts but they don't make me stand outside in the cold.
They also now allow people to sit on benches inside meadowhall with food and drink and do nothing to enforce the law
My pet hate-people who reach the top of escalators and stop to have a think or a chat, unaware that maybe there might be other people coming up the escalator as well....thick as fck.
