I dont have ifollow. So only saw the goals. Tough conditions in a tough yorkshire derby. Been on terriers forum to have a read i usually read oppositions forums after a game. They are slating us saying we are a longball team. Big physical and hoofball. Just looking looking for long throws, freekicks and corners. Are they correct
By and large, no. But that was what we did today because it was blowing a hooley and the pitch was cutting up. It wasn't a day for pretty football and neither team tried to play it. Both sides played the long ball then try to press to regain possession high up the field. They're just bitter because we were better at it.
The wind definitely played a big part in spoiling the game. Both teams went more long ball than I think either Head Coach would've preferred, to try and combat the conditions.
Ok thanks boys and girls. Just wantrd to know. I knew weather was bad and god awful pitch at swansea didnt help football
I thought they were one of the more aggressive teams I’ve seen this season, tried to bully us, and unlike in previous years, failed. Now because we give as good as we get it’s us who are hoofball merchants. They should cry some more.
We’re not playing pretty football that’s for sure. But how we play isn’t their concern, they only have to watch it twice, Surely our current style shouldn’t affect how they play in possession, they’re the club recently in the prem, they simply should be better than what they showed - that’s what narks them. Apart from O’Brien, I wouldn’t want any of their players on show today, they offered nothing. We’ve played some nice football on our way down to league one. Maybe it’s time to long ball our way to a top half finish
Second half in particular wasn't pretty. The ball basically stayed down the East stand side of the pitch going back to where it came from with each turnover of possession. They were doing the same thing, so not sure they can take the high ground tbh. It was crying out for someone to put their foot on the ball and spread the play, or run at them. We also seemed to want to pass through small gaps at times, rather than an easy ball into space. Hard to complain in the conditions though, and the result speaks for itself. Tough luck Huddersfield - their last 2 wins at their place have been similarly fortunate.
we were better marginally 1st half, 2nd half was poor from both teams, we nicked it in the end nuff said
We were getting out muscled 2nd half and due to the wind our usual tactics weren't working as well as Valerien wanted. So he tried to change the system by playing out more from the back late in the 2nd half. That said I didn't think it was working - anyway we've got more than one way to beat teams now. That said I thought a draw was a fair result today, but hey, we'll take the luck of the draw Special mention to our variation on corners. Each one different from the last to keep the opposition guessing, they've been practising
There’s some truth in saying we bypass midfield a lot and can be pretty direct but in the 2 Callums when they play well they can get the ball down take on a man and play a killer ball. So about 50% right I would say
Thought the ref fell for every "drawn" foul they played for and they came through the back of our players loads. Not a pretty game but we fought for the three points to a man. Big up for that, every team needs to do it sometimes, last few seasons we haven't (apart from Walsall away in promotion season). Win ugly (correct that, not playing like Brazil)....sign of a good team
Don’t have I follow??? You lucky b*****d!!! I was dreaming about not having i follow (Particularly the second half)
