    I just delete the crap but find it difficult to stop them

    I've had a long standing problem with junk mail. Liverpool Victoria in particular have been
    a repeat "offender ". On one particular day I received four separate packs inviting me to
    take out a policy with them.

    I wrote on each envelope " Unsolicited junk mail. Return to sender. Postage paid home"
    and posted them to the address shown. I've never received another pack from them since or
    any others I have received junk from. Try it. It works.

    We got one through the letterbox before Christmas. Useful for veg peelings but a quick browse showed it was of no interest as reading material!

    LV were very good insurers when someone rang into the back of me. Couldn't have handled the claim any better and resolved quickly and painlessly.
    Tbh all junk mail just gets opened and dumped into the blue bin.
