I live in that London. Normally I’d be back up north at Christmas but we’re here and so are all my neighbours. I suggested we all have a socially distanced drink at the front of our houses (quiet terraced road, no traffic) for half an hour at 7.30pm. There were about 12 of us. At 7.45pm a police car pulled up and the officers informed us they’d had a report of an illegal party from neighbours. Someone said "we are the neighbours” and pointed out our houses which we were standing in front of. To be fair the officer looked `a bit embarrassed and they moved on. What is this country coming to? Merry Christmas.
Yes, we had a similar situation here back at the end of November when we had a street Christmas light switch on to cheer up the kids and everyone walked round admiring each others lights, some old bag called the cops. They came, they took one look, and said carry on, clearly not an illegal party, everyone knows who grassed - talk about making friends.
