Food shortages? Never! Just been to Aldi and there's masses of food, plenty for everyone if they just buy what they need. There will be loads of waste as usual over Christmas and that's not the governments fault as much as i dislike them!
Closing the ports doesn’t mean that supermarkets immediately take all the food off of the shelves, it means that they won’t be able to stock it back up as it is bought. It doesn’t matter how much is on the shelves right now if nothing is coming to replace it, it won’t last forever no matter how sensible people are (and lots of people aren’t).
no, but the number of positive cases seems to be rising fastest in the areas they believe this made up mutant strain is strongest. Therefore based on that flimsy evidence the tiers are higher in those areas.
Sainsbury's have just issued a statement saying that they expect that supplies of the most popular types of fruit and veg will start to dwindle and to expect shortages over the festive period.
remember being on holiday once,my greyhound was running loose and we came to a field with sprouts as far as eye could see, they was like little trees a forest of sprouts, anyway he had a pi55 against one of the little sprout trees, thought omg hope i dont get that one at Christmas, nothing relevant in this story, just a memory
I really don't like sprouts. I blame the TAS2R38 gene*. *I also don't like the taste of dark chocolate, coffee, beer, and certain other foods that are really, really bitter.
