How well have you followed the rules?

  1. To the letter at all times

  2. Religiously to begin with, but the longer it goes on the less I've followed

  3. I try but sometimes break the rules

  4. I ignore the specific rules but try to be relatively responsible and minimise risk

  5. I often break the rules

  6. I ignore all the rules

Not wanting to cause any arguments further to the Tier 4 thread, but just wondered what a poll would look like with anonymous submissions so you can tell the truth without fear of judgement.

I'm not gonna argue one way or the other, just curious

I think it's somewhere between one and two. So far I haven't consciously broken any rules however I suspect I have unknowingly done so because of how often they change, how hard they are to follow etc. I do however plan to break them on Monday however I still believe I'm being sensible

Our daughter is in the extremely vulnerable section, so we've done what's best for her. It still hasn't stop us receiving criticism for doing so, though.:)

It must be a very unnerving time for you. Fingers crossed these vaccines do the trick and we see the other side soon.

Ah but did I tick box 1, box 2 or even box 3? Any of the above could be the case. I'm not one of the box 4 people if that helps.

I’ve followed them to the letter at all times, even when it’s made me look like an arse because those around me wouldn’t.

I've followed them to the letter as well. You can't be too careful, even though you see people flouting the rules all around you, it doesn't mean you should :)

I voted for option 3. the only time i have knowingly broken the rules was to have my daughter in law in the house for asbout half an hour for a cup of tea.

I think you can be forgiven that one offence if you've managed to go all year following the letter. I'll fess up that I've broken it a couple of times, same reason with it being family in times of need

If I ever want to see another human being I would have to break the rules.

I live alone, my girlfriend lives in Australia, I have two very close friends, one lives alone and his bubble is his mum and dad. The other lives with his son and his mum, who lives alone, is their bubble. My mum's bubble is her grandson. My dad's his wife's mum. I cannot have any sort of relationship with another human being without breaking rules.

Aren't we allowed out for a socially distanced walk in tier 3?

I's December. It's dark when I go to work, and dark before I even set off home. I don't know anyone who is remotely interested in going for a walk when it's chucking it down and freezing and dark, and I include myself in that.

The bank holidays. But really, "Can you please leave the comfort of your home and time with your family to come for a walk with me in the rain?" I don't want to go for a walk in December, I can't expect anyone else to.
