he completely out thought Neil in 2nd half, they looked lost did Preston ,playing slightly further up field and narrowing shape
A hat trick of 2-1 wins. It's no fluke, we belong in this league. Well played Reds. If results stay same in remaining games, we are up to ninth, four points outside the play offs. As my Grandad used to say " who'd a thowt." !!!!
Tonight shows how much we've improved, we looked comfortable against a proven championship team that easily had the beating of us last season
Last season we'd have lost that game and probably the Wycombe match too. Although it's poor for us to be going behind so early this team does not let it bother them and just keep playing. Whatever Val is doing with them on the training ground, it's sure working! The most exciting part for me is that I don't believe we're playing anywhere near our potential and there is so much more to come from this team / squad. Well done to all involved and keep working hard!
Well done to our much maligned Board for appointing Big Val and managing the Club within its means. Well done to the much maligned Dane for keeping things running operationally during some seriously difficult times. Well done to our Recruitment Team for unearthing some hungry and talented young footballers. Well done to our Coaching teams, past and present, for developing this group to the point we're at right now.
One very pleasing thing for me tonight was to watch Big Victor. Strong as an Ox refused to be knocked off the ball. Kept calm and took his goal well. Really glad that IV has been able to accommodate him in the squad, when previous coaches farmed him out on loan. Well played lads, well done Victor.
especially with teams like Stoke/Barnsley/Boro/Cardiff/Luton In my predictions at the start of the season I had 4 of those teams in the top half of the table - including Barnsley (12th)
