Who they going to get in if they sack Wilder though? Can't see big Sam wanting it or Pearson with his Weds history.

Wilder and Pulis have things in common. During their times as Managers they have enjoyed periods of relative success and proved that in the overall scheme of things, they are fairly proficient at what they do. At this present time their shared similarity is in the fact that their players are not good enough for the respective leagues that they are playing in. To my mind the Blades team would more than hold their own in the Championship and the Board would be mad to sack Wilder after what he's achieved at the Club thus far. Pulis is really on a hiding to nothing. After years of bending the fiscal rules, Wednesday have been forced to offload some of their big earners and don't appear to have the capability to sign the quality players they need to remain in the Championship. To my mind, they look to be more than capable of making a fist of it in League One. The question is, are they prepared to let Pulis attempt to resurrect their fortunes ,or will he become the next Manager to be shown the door by the ever impatient Mester Chansiri.?
My original post was more a dig at the blades fans. I respect Wilder and have a lot of time for him taking into account his background and how he's worked his way up the managerial ladder. He also seems like a decent fella. If you read the comments from some of their so called fans on twitter and other social media platforms then just wow, they want him gone! I don't think a new manager coming in now would do any better.

I was listening to a podcast the other day and they said that the fans are crying out for a change in formation. The trouble is they've got about 6 similar midfielders and 6 similar forwards. They've no wide men, so they're stuck playing this 5 at the back with the overlapping centre halves - which sides are obviously wise to now. That and Ramsdale is crap.
Wilder has signed a team made up.mostly of championship players who he hoped would all become premiership quality over time. Not happened.
Didn't they pay £20m for Ramsdale? Also the CB O'Connell seems to be a huge miss (I think he's out injured). Dean Henderson was magnificent for them last season but Ramsdale seems unsure, flapping at crosses and not commanding his area. The defence don't have much confidence in him! Also the lad from Liverpool who they paid £23m for hasn't done anything to date. Best part of £50m wasted on those two players.
I thought they’d struggle with second season syndrome but not quite this much. They’d be mad to get rid of Wilder because that team doesn’t have much individual premier class yet he’s achieved what he has with them. Paraphrasing Keegan, I would love it if both Sheffield clubs got relegated.
Wilder could only get some of those players playing above their natural ability for so long and credit to him for that. However, it was never going to last. David Mcgoldrick and Billy Sharp aren't going to cause the most PL teams many problems! I said on here towards the end of last season that they would struggle this season and likely be in a relegation battle but I certainly didn't expect them to struggle as much as they have. As noted above some of those players were in L1 three seasons ago!
Be some local Football fans waiting on their double to pay out of United and Wednesday both to get relegated in the same season. No idea when this last happened if at all.
Wilder is a decent fellow but let's face it he carried a lot of luck at Northampton and when he came to the Blunts he was lucky enough to inherit a good team, luck always runs out. The way things are going the Blunts could end up with the lowest points ever in any league.
