It may be raining, my son's remaining football match this weekend will probably be called off as well but my daughters are coming back from uni today for Christmas and just that other little joy of finally winning at Swillsboro again!! Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone.
Morning Helen. Did we win yesterday, or was it a dream? Yeah, I'm dreaming, yeah........ We don't win at Hillsboro...... What's that.....huh.....2-1.....what....Reds.........huh....gi'oooooer wi' thi....... Choccy Hobnobs are coming art ageeen
Morning Helen! My son's game is on. Holmfirth Town Juniors away at Brighouse! He's so excited to be playing football again with his mates! Not many Wednesday fans over this way to wind up but plenty of town fans and they took a right beating at Bournemouth yesterday so that will do ! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Well I've just filled up with scrambled egg on toast so you can't make me jealous with hobnob talk right now!!
Morning Helen, love that feeling when we win but it's special when it's Wendies. Finally able to go to Chapel this morning (no singing sadly) then putting tree up. Enjoy having your family altogether and spoiling them no dout.
Good luck to him. You can swap notes with the Huddersfield fans on how crap such a MASSIVE team from S6 are!!
I'm hoping its on, his other 2 this weekend have been cancelled. Typical that we had the good weekend weather during lockdown!
Morning. Stop watch now on 14 hours, 57 minutes and 23 seconds. It's still 2-1 and we're coping well at the back.
Celebrated with an interesting drink my wife invented. She had some Visciola (sour cherry) juice leftover from boiling the fruit from one of our trees, and combined it with Ginger ale leftover juice from making some crystallised ginger to which she added Vodka and topped it up with Prosecco. As George Spicer would say... It was splendid!!!. The only problem is my missus cannot remember the proportions so . So she'll have to 'wing it' tonight or the 'return leg' ... the 'night' where she traditionally decorates the tree whilst watching 'Elf' for the gazillionth time! Whilst its a decent enough Xmas film I need to have a drink or two to sit through it nowadays. However to make up for it we have another tradition in our house that the week before Xmas we always settle down and watch 'Die Hard' .a reight film... "Ho! Ho! Ho! Now I have a machine gun" ....... Yippee Kayee MotherF**ker!! Whilst I am against Capital punishment... whoever invented the stupid idiotic tradition of sticking a tree up indoors deserved it!! Articificial ones are especially annoying as it is me who has to do the 'groundwork' and assemble the damn thing with over 40 individual colour coded 'branches' to fit and open out and then hang the lights on it. I argued (and lost!!) that it was pointless since we are not allowed any visitors in the house over Christmas due to covid so no-one but us will see it. It also has to be positioned very precisely as otherwise it cast a shadow over a corner of the home cinema screen as our living room is long and narrow and ' to put it mildly....... 'bijou'!! Bah! Humbug!!
Good to tell tha dunt live int’ Tarn any moor mate. Wi’v ed ter celebrate wi slape ale. Well, a cheeky Chilean Merlot if I’m honest. Key point is it was red.
How bigs this packet of hobnobs ? It's not like one of those metre long Jaffa cake tubes that gets rolled out at Christmas
When you get the exact recipe for the drink let me know, it sounds delicious. Girls will set tree up when I'm at work tomorrow so we can decorate it when young uns back from school. One of my happiest times of the year, having the kids put on their special ornaments that have built up over the years.
