    Does that make him the first current Barnsley player to score in a European competition?

    I can't think of anyone else who would have achieved this at the time they were signed with us.

    No, Frieser has scored for LASK versus PSV Eindhoven in last season’s Europa League (he’s also made Champions League appearances, but not scored on account of him being babber.

    Also, Sollbauer scored for Wolfsberg against Shakhtyor in the 2015/16 Europa League.

    So Ritzmaier is the third current BFC player to have scored a Europa League goal.

    Actually, scratch that. Even Paddy Schmidt has scored for Admira Wacker versus Kapaz of Azerbaijan in a Europa League qualifier in July 2016

    In a twist of fate, Knasmullner was the other goal scorer for Wacker in that game.

    I'll say he was so **** he was actually good. A bit like Goran Lovre, Brad Potts and Bahre (at League 1 level). Whenever he was in the side we picked up points for some reason.

    It does make you wonder... if Lovre, Knasmullner and Ritzmaier can all smash it in some less prestigious leagues in Europe, what would Mowatt, James and Woodrow do over there??

    Could be a gap for your Rapid Viennas to sign up some Championship/ League 1 talent and improve
