If you missed out on one of the thousand tickets for the first home match after the Covid break would you offer somone extra money for their ticket? Have we got any on here who are obsessive reds fans and would go to extremes to watch the reds? If you are that bad i would give you my ticket if i got one. Who is most dedicated reds fan on here?
Doesn't Farnham travel up every home game from Surrey or somewhere equally mentally Southern? And to think I jacked in a season ticket cos the East Mids was too far...
Thats dedication no doubt and does put you to shame a bit. If Farnham does travel that far for every home game he deserves one of the thousand.
Who has made this stupid rule up about a 1000 test event? No other industry in the country has been forced to hold a test event. They're either open or closed. Football however must hold test events to check if they're capable of doing the thing they've done week in week out for about a century
I Know quite a few obsessed and go to extremes. But would be loathe to say one person is the most dedicated. as lots fit the Bill. Arrange holidays weddings, travel etc. Around the fixtures. Not a clue on here. But know quite a few that aren’t. My personal hate would to be to miss an away game at a team I’ve never been to. Fortunately none in the top 3 tiers. Barring a cup draw. that shouldn’t happen any time soon.
I understand it isn’t what you’re saying. But if anyone was offered more money for their ticket I’d hope they would only sell on face value. I wouldn’t want to profit off another fellow fan. It would be interesting to see how many have applied for the thousand tickets available. I myself have created a bubble with 3 other family members. But I’d assume anyone who does get one would value that ticket as much as the next man.
Are you allowed to apply outside Barnsley? Liverpool restricting it to those with an L postcode( Liverpool). I know they have a few more ST holders
Agree but I would go further. if someone is not going to go. it should be put back in the pot for the ballot. Which is what is supposed to happen.
I'm no better than any other fan tbh, but just for the record: I lived in Birmingham from 1990 - 1996, then Wokingham (Reading) from 1996-2018. I missed only 1 home game during that time (violently ill with food poisoning) and only stopped going to away games in 2008 ish. To answer the OP, I would take what comes, if I get a ticket so be it. I'm no better than anyone else - everyone is as deserving as the next person. Especially after what everyone has been through this year
As a long term semi-regular attender (probably about 10 games a season home and away), I would sooner wait till I can just turn up on the day and get in. Looks like next season for me.
Some people have dedicated their lives to BFC and spent so much time and money following the reds all over the country. I hope these fans get a ticket. I applied so me and my son can go but would gladly miss out for the truly dedicated fans, I am a passionate BFC fan but wouldnt be too disappointed like some would be i guess.
Brentford have given their longest serving season ticket holders first dibs. It wouldn't bother me if Barnsley did the same even though I might not get one.
I used to sell my season ticket off at a tenner a game in the Mount. I wasn't bothered that I was at a loss.
We can't I don't think, we 'lost' all our season ticket holder information a few years ago 8f I remember correctly
Wasnt it to do with the fact that we went into admin and therefore loyalty was to a defunct company so no longer valid? Certainly for prem season there was a category of fans who got priority for away games as they had been ST holders the longest.
Several long serving ST holders were invited to the Premier League party at the Town Hall in 1997. Back then there weren't that many. Most people, including me, were pay on the day customers till the premier League season. I would like fans like Kelvin to get a ticket before me. He's had a season ticket for over 50 years and has not missed a match home or away until the pandemic. A lottery might see him miss out so I would hope the club would recognise fans like him and give them priority. There can only be a handful.
Well all the Premier league teams holding fixtures for the first time this weekend have had 2000 allowed. Is it different for them?
