The club should push for this to be played on Wednesday 16th. This way if we are lucky enough to be put into tier 2 that day the club can hold the pilot event then on a Wednesday night instead of a weekend game which more ppl would want to attend. The next home game would be Huddersfield on Boxing Day. I’m sure more would want to attend the Boxing Day game rather than a midweek night game.
Our first game will hold only 1,000 as a 'pilot' event. So I understand Granty's point. Unfortunately, we can't just up and decide when to play our games. More to it than that. If we are moved into tier two, then yes, Boxing Day looks like having 1,000 fans in attendance. I hope folk realise that the club is only following the law. We'd like every fan possible inside Oakwell. We'd love to open the doors and have 10,000+ in. Unfortunately, the dictatorship govern our every move. It's alright though. The Tories in the south have had fans in already.
Fair enough I didn't realise that. Small steps forward isn't it which I'm sure though frustrated most understand.
Oh definitely mate, it would just be good for more people if it was possible. Here’s to hoping next season is as good as normal as it can be.
Are plans afoot to introduce hat masks into the Oakwell superstore once back up and running? Asking for a friend.
