Putting London into Tier 2 is just mad look at this graph
    upload_2020-11-26_12-9-42.png

Now there are regional variations The Est part of the South East is bad and is tier 3 but the whole of Lancashire - is Tier 3 why???

Lancaster 97 cases per 100K - rate has dropped by over 5 times since the peak and still falling and its still in tier 3
West Lancashire rate dropped by over 3 times and is just over half that of london at 180K and rate still falling and its tier 3

there isnt any following the science here its just batshit crazy

Utterly depressing stuff. People’s mental health is going to take a right hit through all this.
Let everyone pile into the shops for their Christmas stuff but can you sit and have a meal or a pint in a hospitality venue? Course not.....

There’s never been any following the science. We’re into the 9th month of anti scientific lockdown measures, have people not cottoned on yet? Absolute shysters.

Mass testing with the army did the trick. We are expecting it in Kirklees in the next few weeks so hopefully many of our 478000 residents pop for one so we can get through the tiers quicker.

Think they’re bringing it in in Barnsley too. Not seen anything official but some rumours flying around.

I suspect most tier 3 places will get it. Kirklees Council confirmed it yesterday but just said next few weeks as they need to sort the logistics. The army should be brought in at all tier 3 places as the quickest way to reach tier 2 and hopefully 1.

The liverpool example is very interesting isnt it?
So they chose liverpool because it was a very high percentage of positive results. So they sent in the army to test or re test and did away with the flawed PCR testing system and used lateral flow testing.
What do we find? That the positive tests for covid were something like 0.67% of those tested.
The testing, which has put is into lockdown and these tiers is flawed. As pointed out by several eminent scientists....fine in the summer but we now have a new system.

I saw Hancock on piers morgan gmtv the other day boasting that liverpool had reduced its numbers of positive tests due to succesful lockdown procedures!
The reason is different testing, when will they stop putting a political spin on these results.

You think this government are listening to the Mayor? They've been trying constantly to undermine him for the last year or more with elections pending.

Is there a site or even if different sources that provide a more detailed breakdown of areas infection rates? Would be really useful to look at and really should have been part of the communications from government everyday so people could assess things themselves and take even greater protections if they say spikes occurring.

They want to blame him when they impose Tier 3 just before Christmas?

Are they going to split West Yorkshire up or continue to treat it as one place?

Well they accused Burnham of killing people, then backtracked saying they didn't want to make it personal! So it wouldn't surprise me at all if they played political games with this.

According to the Zoe covid app which uses test data plus people reporting symptoms who don't take a test, the infection rate across the country was falling by around november the 3rd, a few days before we went into lockdown, lockdowns don't work. Most probably the wave was due to schools going back and a large movement of people to university, once that had calmed down and everyone who was going to get it, got it, it started to naturally decrease.
