Might be a bit premature but I`m missing the football (internationals leave me cold).
Is it too early to want to know how we`re shaping up for Saturday and the busy schedule in the run up to Christmas.
I`ve got a feeling that the squad is going to be needed more than ever and some rotation may be key to ensuring that we don`t end up stretching some players beyond breaking point.

Other than a target man type striker where else do you think we need to strengthen in January?

Definitely the squad is key this season. With 2 games a week, it'll be a case of resting players whilst still maintaining a strong side. I'm a firm believer of you should play your strongest side, until you are forced not to, but with the number of injuries we (and other clubs) are having that may not be possible.

I think we've got enough quality to have a decent run this season. I hope that the physios and coaches are coming up with decent contingencies to cut down on the injuries, although I'm not sure what could be done. Onwards and upwards.

    Come on you reds :)

Not desperate for new signings - would like to know Jordan Williams is fit to be involved again, I think we could do with knowing if Kane could slot into midfield if needed don`t know if he would be able to step into Mowatt`s role, I think we know the options upfront if needed - what really would help ,I think, is if we reverted back to a 5 sub system like last season which would help prevent fatigue/strain injuries but I think this is more likely to happen in the Prem than EFL.

This. You play your best 11 regardless and change things if you need to during the game. If you start with a weakened team you end up with the ***** performance like we witnessed away at Cardiff.

I think majority would have been pro 5 subs just for this season

We do need to move on players who are not of championship standard or surplus to requirements.

    Bahre
    Simoes
    Miller
    Schmidt
    Adeboyejo
    Green

Any funds we raise from those we should put towards a physical centre forward.

Not that I've heard, but the initial assessment at the time was at least 7 months iirc. So we can safely say that he's extremely unlikely to play again this season

Not heard anything, no disrespect to the lad but he wasn't good enough even whilst fully fit so I don't think he is the answer long term. He will be a solid lower league fullback tho.

Would be a good signing, there are obviously players down there that can make the step up, wev seen it with Callum Brittain.

These injuries ( hamstring) seem to be more prevalent than in the past. Could cost us if we’re pushing the players too hard. If not then they need to investigate what’s causing these types of injuries. Hard enough trying to keep players from burning out. And lose some of the squad.

Don’t agree all surplus to requirements. We need a decent squad size. Games are coming thick and fast. If we lost that lot who do you suggest we have as back up. To Vals 3 up front tactics. I too agree some if not all are not championship standard. AT THE MO. Adeboyejo appears to be in Vals plans and offers that different tactical move. Simoes is worth seeing if he can cut the mustard. Bahre. Seems no one wants him so may have to pay him off. But why do that.
