Kane, Palmer, styles all ready and able to take his place. A striker and left wing back still needed however.

I'm still not sure that covers what we should have received for the likes of Moore, Pinnock, Brown, Wilks etc.

Don't get me wrong, my initial post was intended to be light-hearted, and I'm just about fine with the direction of the club overall. But I can't shake the feeling that too often they take us for fools by claiming that everything's being reinvested in the team. Every time we sell an experienced first-team player we sign somebody less experienced - and almost certainly cheaper - to replace them (if we're lucky - the ghost of Kieffer Moore rears its head again). Have we really spent all of Jacob Brown, Malik Wilks and Kieffer Moore's transfer fees and wages on Frieser and Kane? What about Pinnock and Lindsay against Helik, Bambo and Andersen? It may turn out that these players are better than the ones they replaced, but I struggle to believe that they're more expensive overall.

If the club want to keep a cash buffer then I have no problem with it - that's very sensible. I just don't want to be treated like an idiot.

i suspect the reality is we’ve spent much of what we’ve received. When you don’t get close to market rate on your sales, it doesn’t take too many failed signings before you’re back where you started.

just walk through players we’ve already released and the fees we paid are effectively written off. McGeehan, Diaby, Bahre, Dougall, Thiam. There’s a few million right there with no payback.

We’re at a dangerous point, we spend a lot in fees with the hope we multiply it on sale, if championship clubs don’t feel able to acquire our talent in the next 12 months, we could see them walking at end of contract Or feel obliged to accept even lower bids.

hopefully revenues can be propped up if there’s a return to near normality in next 12 months. If not, the alleged business model is truly knackered.

Helik, Bambo & Anderson all between 500k and a million each, Kane over a million. You'd be surprised how much we've paid for some of the players.

I think we're at an absolutely brilliant point, all the squad are now on the owners contracts, star player signs a new contract when 5 years ago he would have been out of the door. More of a level playing field in the league and a huge chance for our best position in 20 years, become a decent championship side and a better prospect for potential signings.

Schmidt 900k! We have generated alot from player sales in the years conway has been here not to mention promotion revenue, tv money, a reported 2million euro buy out clause in strubers contract, and the biggest season ticket sales in 20 years last season. So you would expect a fair share to go back into the squad.

Spot on. This season is about not going bust financially. If we can do that, and scrape out of relegation again, it’ll be a fantastic effort by the board.

I accept, that we may have to sell one player in January too.

This isn’t about 1 season, it’s about a future generation.
