Can’t really see much change. Maybe start simoes instead of Schmidt? Also Brittain probabaly out. .............Walton......... .....sol.....Helik...Andersen... williams James mowatt styles ...............freezer............ ......Chaplin......Simoes...... subs Collins Kane Halme Odour Christie-Davies Thomas Schmidt
Brittain, Williams, Palmer and Woodrow all out accorting to VI in today's presser. So main questions will be; Can James start again after starting on Saturday? Who plays RWB? Guessing Styles is most likely, given the change made on Saturday, but Miller played there in pre-season. Think it will be; Walton Sollbauer Helik Andersen Styles James Mowatt Odour Frieser Schmidt Chaplin
I think that's fair. Like you, I believe that James' lack of match practice might count against him. Kane would be the obvious choice as replacement if Matty doesn't start.
It might not be a bad idea bringing James on second half when the game starts getting stretched. So Kane to start with Mowatt in the middle. Don't want to weaken the team too much, but with games coming thick and fast who knows - but I would start the same starting XI as Saturday with someone replacing Brittain, probably Uduor is favourite.
Jordan Helliwell could play there. I believe Bramhall is primarily a winger and in that case Luke Thomas is probably ahead of him
Isn't Helliwell out on loan still? I can't see a Bramhall on the club website in either U23 or U18 teams What about apo Halme?
This team will give them a decent game with Kane and Christie-Davies being the fresh legs in midfield if needed.
I don't think you'll be far wrong with that line up. I would argue that Schmidt offered little up front on Saturday and would prefer Miller - from the options available - in that role as he offered a little more. In addition, I have concerns about the left hand side with Odour and Andersen and therefore would consider switching to 3-5-2 and bring in Halme (for Schmidt) to provide more defensive midfield cover though I don't think the manager will deviate from 3-4-3.
