Wensdeh's next two games are at home to Rotherham, and at home to Wycombe. If they don't pull back their minus four points in those two matches, I think they're already done and dusted.
Didn't realise that - I'd got it into my head that both were at home. My point stands, though. They'd not expect to lose at Rotherham, and most teams will fancy their chances at home to Wycombe.
Wycombe came from behind to draw with Watford . They could get their first win in the bottom of the table scrap I'm sure!
I get that. But Scenario. We are are 2 points-above Rotherham who are in the relegation places. That one point could be vital if it was the last game of the season. So whilst we are all in that scenario given the positions we are in at the mo, I’ll take it. My dislike of any team sometimes is overtaken by my practical reasons. Barnsley first. Is my priority. Tis why a draw could be vital even at this early stage.
Wycombe have been unlucky this season so far, could have won last night Foster made several great saves and a decent goal ruled out for a foul on Foster that never was. Always going to find it hard but they play with belief and look a threat in the final third. Anyone who underestimates them could get turned over
I get the sentiment but 11 points ahead of a team who was docked 12 points isn't that much of a brag, especially when they have a game in hand. Hopefully we can pick up 3 points more frequently now (and they collect zero) and really widen the gap.
It definitely is but if I put it on later and had a choice between witnessing a dour 0-0 draw or a 7-0 humiliation of the Wednesday, I know I won't be thinking of practicalities like potential league places come the end of the season.
It wasn't long ago that Rotherham were playing only just over the hill from Hillsborough anyway. It would have been near enough an home game then
