It was busy last night too as a friend took her daughter there and waited hours.

Why are Saturday evenings normally busier than others.
Do Barnsley generally tweet sat. Night I guess they may have on the odd occasion. So.
1 pissheads turning up for whatever reason. Injury. Drunk as a skunk.being the normal increase in admissions.
    2. Pubs closed cos of tier 3. So I assume the cause is a sharp rise in Covid. What I don’t know is are they folk panicking or are they referrals. The ambulance issue if true would suggest referrals. Bit of both I assume.

A disbeliever then. That’s how your posts came across. Sometimes he said she said may be true.

I can Personally testify to that. :) My missus tells me regularly. Don’t like getting bladdered though. Hate that spinning effect. So have avoided that outcome many a year ago.:)

Did a quick search, and these two came up at the top, so it looks uncommon but not unprecedented:

As for Saturdays I’m guessing a combination of pisscans, DIY and amateur sport?

Hmm I don’t know how to take that. You certainly don’t come across as an idiot. But maybe.

I know Dr James Griffiths. He lives on the next street to me - we often walk the dog together.

    It's Covid related.

I know some of you don't want to hear it, but it is.

This post doesn't mean I'm pro lockdown or anti lockdown or pro guidelines or anti mask or pro 2 metres or anti tier or whatever.

It just means that Barnsley hospital is getting very, very ******* busy with people with Covid.

Edited my earlier response Ian. :)
I’ve been told many a time I must be an idiot to watch our lot and must be pissed. :) If it helps.

I agree drink definitely helps. I’ve used it plenty to get me through United games.

Further to my previous posts Ian. True stories. Before I realised drinking too much was a recipe for being ill. (the “oh god, oh mam, help me” era) My missus in the early days used to leave me with my head in the bog for hrs. ( but she did kindly provide a cushion for me to kneel on.) I once threw up on the tiled hearth couldn’t make it tut bog on time. .( easier to clean up. ) The silly woman shall I say. ( she may read this). Wiped it up with my Barnsley shirt and wanged it down the garden. :)

To be fair A&E are busy at the best of times with people who don't need to be there. If you aren't going to die and not in severe pain you don't need to be there clogging the place up with stuff that can be sorted ringing 111 for advice or getting in touch with your GP.

And tbh of the tories had not cut doctor and nurse levels along with hospital wards we might have been in a better situation to cope.

I agree. It would still help people not turning up there with a cold, sickness bug, headache etc. Although this isn't going to win the NHS any fans......

The sad thing is that because places like Barnsley were locked down in March for no good reason, as it didn’t have a significant outbreak, people now don’t trust the new lockdown. However it now looks like we’re getting the case load London and south east got back in March, and the reason they’re not getting the same hospital numbers now is probably immunity.

Dream boy don’t you agree people are beginning to panic. Like you say a cold or a sore head would be ignored but now it’s fkn covid.

Yeah I can imagine some idiots would leave the house if they think they might have covid.
