Yes, A&E’s were famously empty pre Covid, particularly on Saturday evenings. Must be caused by the Vid.
Read it how you like. jeez. up to you whether you believe it or not. Pretty much backs up the tweet. We have the biggest Covid rate in Yorkshire since Thursday/Friday. But let’s get back to player rumours.Stick to Facebook. The fountain of truth.
The link you have provided is from the BDGH, which is what I was quoting from Facebook. Nobody is disputing we have a high rate on Barnsley but the statement could have been written by anyone so yes it's a he said she said statement. BDGH is notoriously busy anyway on a weekend and the post from them doesn't mention covid in anyway shape or form
It doesnt help that the seating capacity in A&E has been halved. And that everyone with cough has been terrified into an inch of their life cos of the 'Rona Oh and there isnt a "queue" unless its around back.
Doesn’t mean it’s wrong either. I only posted a comment sent to me. The tweet is less than 3hrs old. Do you not think that means they’re not overrun . Sometimes yes he said she said statements are made up. We may disagree on this one. Given the tweet I have more reason to believe it. Barnsley cases are rising at a rapid rate. Or have we more drunks turning up. Falling out of pubs.
Who knows but your initial post is misleading when the hospital have not mentioned anywhere in theirs it is due to covid
I don’t think they need to. They were requesting people to ring rather than turn up. As the emergency department is overrun. They didn’t mention they’d had a major incident to deal with either. My belief given the spike in cases would be the reason. Doesn’t make me right.
Asking as I don't know the answer but do BDGH normally tweet on Saturday evenings asking people not to come unless it is an emergency and to come alone? If they do then it would seem it has nothing to do with the current pandemic. Also, why are Saturday evenings normally busier than any other evening (and would that reason still be relevant in Covid times in a tier 3 area)?
