Just that. I wider if our new head coach speaks English. I know that he is french but speaks german on his tv interviews but just wondered about his command of english.
Not only that, if you look at his Twitter feed, his written English is flawless, in what is one would assume, his 3rd language. English is pretty easy to learn to speak as a foreign language, but learning to write it properly is a nightmare, so it seems he's a pretty adept bloke, at least as a linguist! Whether that will make him a good coach of course, remains to be seen!
I've got a good feeling about this guy ...I reckon he will do well I honestly do.....then again I once had that same good feeling about Nigel Spackmans appointment and we all know how that turned out....that said I still dont think that was all Spackmans fault.... Far in front of his time and tried to implement some stuff far too soon for all concerned at oakwell board and players alike.....Anyway may I offer a warm Barnsley welcome to our new coach from me.
I’m not sure why but I read that in a Scottish accent. Thought you was saying Jose walks his dog at half time.
I’ve found that speaking English and speaking Barnsley are two completely different things. Says he whose accent throws some when I talk to them
Decent start to thank the fans...not sure he'll understand our replies in our version of English for a while...especially when we start cricifiying the pronunciation of his name
A Barnsley fan has literally posted “Fu ck off home” in response to that video on Twitter. I despair. I really do.
Absolutely despicable some people are, gives the club a bad name. I guess all clubs have them though, but it's not called for. No-one should have to tolerate that in this day and age
If he's clever enough to handle 3 languages, there's no excuse now for not having a plan B and even a plan C out on the pitch.
No need to ask how he voted in the EU ref, ironic that if he wins his first three games he'll be singing his name
The reason I asked about whether he speaks English is because I remember Daniel Stendel had a limited vocabulary when he first became head coach which gradually improved as time went on. I hope he does well and becomes as popular as Daniel S did. At least he has played in the English league unlike our other European head coaches. Gonna give support as I have done every BFC manager.
