Not great in my view. I guess it would show minimal progress but Wednesday being relegated balanced that up a bit.
I'd absolutely take it now. Whoever we appoint as coach, I desperately hope they have a better plan of how to play in possession. I was wondering last night (and its a general musing, I don't know the answer)... how often has our intense pressing led directly to a goal for us in comparison to how many goals we've conceded from being pressed and from unforced errors? If i were to hazard a guess, I'd say we lose more goals than gain.
To see our ambition after six games is to finish fourth from bottom is depressing to be honest but probably shows where we are has a club at minute.
I don't think we have any guile. I know Mowatt is supposed to be a "creator" but I don't see that in his game.
Did you miss our second goal last night? perfectly weighted pass over the defence of Frieser by Mowatt
Although we haven't won yet. I think we are playing better football than we did at the start of last season and look more compact and organised. Eventually it will click in front of goal.
If we finish as low as 4th bottom then we surely would all agree the season has been a big failure. Wednesday starting on minus. Clubs with smaller budgets than us. Coventry playing away every game. No sign of progress from last season.
As good as we can hope for I reckon. Maybe reach the dizzy heights of 18th or summat. Playes OK against Bristol. Other than that, we've been pretty awful.
It was a very good ball but I’d have been still cursing at tele now if Anderson had let their forward score from a similar move tbh .
That's better SD. Chin up mate, we'll be OK. We've played most of our games this season against the better teams (in my opinion - I had Stoke and Middlesboro in the top 10) and will only get better.
I'm optimistic we could finish a bit higher, but would take it now, especially with Wednesday & Derby getting relegated.
