    Still not replaced Moore from a year ago, and now without Jacob Brown as well! A quality striker short....still

    I think that we have got the hope that Cauley, with a new contract and playing under a 'new' manager, will be like a new signing. Hope so. He seems to get on with Murray and, with James to be the holding midfielder in front of the back four/five, this should release Mowatt and Kane to play farther forwards, which should improve the service to Woodrow as one of the front two ........ I hope!

    I agree mate, I don't see frieser as a replacement for brown either. The hope is same as above, that the creativity from midfield will now improve. Obviously if Woodrow starts in CAM tommorow then it looks poor still.

    We really miss the presence of Moore though, pace and height, Brown had the pace and won more headers than anyone else! Woodrow is a great finisher but has no legs at all! Chaplin has a bit of pace but is small!

    The others in the squad just aren’t good enough! PS scored a couple of vital goals, but literally does nothing else when he’s played!

    Whilst a plan B would be nice if we can get Chaplin and Woodrow back scoring as they used to, with Schmidt too we don’t need another goal scorer.

    I think last is in bold to indicate it was a last minute goal we scored, last time.

    I think Schmidt will get goals and needs playing alongside Woodrow with decent service from midfield.

    ~~~~~~~This~~~
    4 - 4 - 2 with Woodrow and (best of rest) Chaplin) upfront. James has the class to push the whole team further forwards in possession. Exactly what we needed. Would prefer we had signed a tall striker than not but this board won't fork out for a ready-made championship target man.
