Is there some FIFA rule that says teams have to wear their second strip playing away, every time? Wales are wearing yellow and green away to Ireland instead of their usual all red. Why??? Only just tuned in near the end to see that obnoxious character McClean get sent off, and then try to start a fight before walking away.
Always thought that if the colors didn't clash then it was just to try to sell the different shirt..tbh
Nice to the Belgies playing in their proper strip. Not nice to see them wiping the floor with England though.
There's no such thing as an away kit. There's a second kit for if you play away to a team whose colours clash with your own.
no idea why Cymru are playing in yellow and green - they have used those colours some years ago. Should be a 94th cap for Hennessey in Sofia but unfortunately no trip to Bulgaria for KM '' He's big - he's a red - his feet stick out of the bed - Kieffer Moore''
Colours are decided in the days leading up to the game by both club's officials alongside the PGMOL (refs etc). I know little else about it. Prefer us in red wherever possible, personally.
Speaking of strips.... I was looking at the historic kits website today and it said that there is a strong theory that a photo of the Barnsley team shows the earliest use of numbered shirts.... never knew that....
