Actually worn the second strip. This season. Genuine question. Or has it left the club. Tbh I think 3rd shirts are a money-making racket only Are disrespectful to the fans who mainly buy the second strip for away games. Noticed we’ve played at least twice in yellow but other than that. ? Might be my memory.

We’ve only played in yellow in away games so far to my knowledge.

Bit annoying given I got the white one for me and the lad - and that is meant to be the away kit.

To be fair I understand it at reading - we have a fair bit of white in the home and away strip - but Chelsea? The home kit was fine unless they thought there was too much white in the socks but there was no need to skip the second kit to go to the third.

Middlesbrough? White shirt, black shirts black socks would have been perfectly fine. I suspect we will see the white kit on only a couple of occasions as there seems a clear preference for the third kit.

Dont think we have. Waste of a good shirt that, the yellow's a bit too Oxford for me.

Maybe the FA should step in and stop ALL clubs From fleecing fans this way. And revert to 2 strips only. It wasn’t a problem in the past. Can’t remember players getting confused. Except Rory Fallon that is.:)

As one of the organisers of an away travel branch. We have a members badge done in the away kit colours.
I too buy the away shirt.

In an emergency I’ve seen on a couple of occasions the away team wear the home teams second strip. Would rather have that. than a third.

I actually like the yellow kit, I like all three this year. I plumped for the white as I like the hexagon design (and hadn’t seen the Peterborough version!!).

I just hope it is used.

My point is Troff. Produce as many shirts colours as you want. Put put em out as normal tops like training tops people will still buy em if they like em. Just don’t put em out as a third strip.
People buy kits based on the latest editions, for that season.

Need a change in the rules to not have a third strip though.
At the minute if we went to Oxford we would have to wear the white one.

Why not the red one. ? Always the priority one.

Rules say can’t wear home kit away. That’s part of reason they draw for home and away in cup finals

Cup finals I’m aware of cos it’s a neutral ground and both teams 1st kit choice are the same colours.

Can you show me a rule for all other games. That states that. If the rules have changed I’ve certainly missed that one.

Well with respect I think. ( cos you are confusing me) there is no rule That I’m aware of to have a 3rd kit. Maybe one was brought in for slight colour clashes. But Red is not only the first kit. It is the priority kit. Doesn’t have to be worn. but can for away games.
    Anyone the wiser speak up.

    Found this
In some sports, conventionally the home team has changed its kit (such as in rugby union and early association football). In most cases, a team wears its away kit only when its primary kit would clash with the colours of the home team.

No they dont, that would be ridiculous!

Coventry wore sky blue at Oakwell, Millwall blue at Swansea last week if I remember the quest highlights correctly. There’ll be more/

Is this a strange thing to get upset about?

Am I right people are complaining because we haven’t worn white, in games behind closed doors.... in a very small sample of games behind closed doors...

if the only reason you buy a shirt (and the free ones were still bought in a roundabout way) is to watch us wear it on I follow football is fu**cked

I am aware of all that. It doesn’t mean that for the very rare occasion both 1st and 2nd kits have slight colour clashes. The third kit has to be worn. Tell me one game this season we have played or are going to play. Mean the 3rd kit Has to be worn.
