PL announce Pay per view for all games not on TV..... to enable fans to see their team!!! Got this decision totally wrong IMO.
How is that different to how the EFL are doing it. As long as they allow ST holders to watch for Free I dont really see a problem
If that's true (and I have to say, it sounds a little suspect) then PL ST holders will all be claiming refunds, if they have any sense. The reason we aren't is because we're getting "free" iFollow access to the home games as an alternative to being allowed in the ground.
Nothing in the release about ST holders and Gary Neville is also condemning it, saying it has been free for last 6 months. https://www.skysports.com/football/...ue-announces-pay-per-view-fixtures-in-october
Yes, I've just read the BBC article and it looks like you're right. ST holders should be demanding refunds. I know I would. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54481945
Especially as not everyone has access to Sky Box office. Not sure about The BT sport one do you need a subscription to BT sport to get it. If you get your sky via NowTV can you get the box office that way as well If ST holders can’t watch without paying again it’s going to get very messy
15 quid, robbing gits, I hope nobody takes up the offer, its probably more to do with sky losing customers than using the " income for pl clubs swerve comeback" they already give PL clubs tens of millions each season, get fooked sky
The next step will be that the games shown as part of the Sky Package will be beauties like Burnley v Palace or Fulham v Sheff Utd. I'd bet my last few quid that the bigger games suddenly become PPV.
Sorry I meant further down the line if the deal continues - I think the games are already in place to the next international break already.
Remember this isn’t for fans who go to games, there is a massive market of people who will watch and will pay £15. In sky’s world there’s no logical reason to be playing football other than to moneytise it, sell advertising, market the product etc. They’ve just found another way and it’s one more nail in the coffin.
Had a roku stick for 2 months now, 70 quid for the year, plex movies and all the sport plus ppv etc, the ones I am with have been around for 5 years, I have already got my money back
It's what usually happens. Games not picked for TV you have to pay to see and because you can't go to a stadium you have to through this. I don't see how it's different to us paying a tenner for an iFollow away game. Soon enough Jeff Besos will take Football from Sky and BT to make it all easier anyway.
Instead of a pair of twenty plus pounds a month subscriptions it would all be in the same place and for far less than where it currently is unless Amazon would plan to quadruple their monthly fee.
