Sad that all parties accept Bambo's ingestion of the substance was done in innocence. Good luck for the future, Bambo..
Well said Bambo. Tbf fair play to the club, they do seem to have supported him through this. Just a shame about the outcome.
That's a shame, sounds like a genuine mistake. Hopefully he can keep fit and get his career back on track in a couple of years time.
Such a shame. Hope Bambo can keep in good spirits and return from this. It sounds like he's OK and planning to return to football in the future. I hope so. Good luck Bambo
All parties involved with this trial accept he accidentally took the banned substance but some folk on here believe he's been doping. If ever there was an example of people on here just believing what they want despite proof elsewhere, this is it.
Disappointing news and it's good that he's been allowed to make a statement through the club. At the end of the day time taken to resolve this wasn't down to delays from him or from BFC, but at least we're aware now. I suspect the Helik signing was largely made in the knowledge that this was the likely outcome. Ultimately, he's responsible for what's in his system and being able to explain it. The regulations don't have any grey areas on this to provide any leeway.
Scandalous that it took so long to reach this conclusion though. Bad for club, bad for the player. Good luck Bambo Number Five - you were loved here!
Heartfelt.....conway and co could do far worse than listen to bambo .....now that's the correct way to deal with fans....
What a lovely, well-thought out and sincere letter, and I for one, do hope to see you in that Red Shirt sometime soon. Good Luck Bambo x.
Seems a harsh punishment when Sahko at Liverpool and Toure both got less time for taking diet pills. Could literally be something in a supplement he was taking, or could be he knew, who knows.
Dear Bambo Thank you for all your efforts, loved watching you at Oakwell, Keep well & stay fit, I truly hope to see you in a Barnsley shirt again. signed Reds
What the hell has he taken for him to be banned for such a long time !?!?! It’s got to be something like rocket fuel to warrant such a lengthy ban.
Great heartfelt letter from Bambo. Such a pity. Really thought he could have contributed and clearly his heart was in the club which is a bonus. Would love to see him back. Seems like a harsh punishment when there was no intent. And as a ps.....on the official statement....that's how I want our club to communicate with us. Good luck Bambo.
