Aww nudge you little flower. On and off your case? We’ve both been posting on these boards for 20 years, we are bound to cross swords as they say, we both should probably find something far more productive to do but that’s by the by.

I responded to you in utter exasperation that you’d created yet another thread that was a bit daft, I actually smiled when reading it as I knew who had posted without even looking, it was also pointless as you admitted you’ve no idea who cook was but berated everyone because he doesn’t play the same football, pretty cool how you know that! but again many threads are pointless, as Indeed was my reply. I stated that above.

Have a good day nudge you delicate soul, if you want a chat I’m here all day, it’s raining outside, attendance are football matches is banned and chatting to you might avoid me shopping with the mrs... on second thoughts I’m off to ikea, il get you some meatballs

What folk forget mate is, stalking is uninvited. Responding to a post is not. That’s an invite. You reap what you sow in those cases.

It was said after Stendel`s departure that the club would be changing the way we play throughout the playing levels of the club. That was when Murray was in charge.

They said it when Stendel was appointed to be fair. Stendel said it himself at the Trust Meeting and talked about spending time with Disco watching the U23’s

Not even sure what that means tbh. Care to expand. If it was Murray’s idea. It didn’t work .

The plan was to play the same style through all age levels.

Are we talking about the pressing game the board wanted the team to play and would bring in a Head Coach and players that would complement the style?

That was decided before Stendel's arrival, not after his departure.

Thought we did that under Stendel tbh.
Very little changed and not a great deal under Struber. Playing out from the back and the pressing style. Slightly different because of the players available. Eg no target man to pump balls up to . But all age levels were indoctrinated into the style so to speak to the best of my knowledge.
From day one Conway/Ganye ( at the first fan engagement) explained that they wanted players to come through the academies to slot straight into the side. Used to the style and not having to adapt.

If I’m not mistaken I think that was Lee Johnson’s appointment whereby the whole club synchronised the same playing philosophy .

Moving away from the total surprise by some - who are unaware what is actually happening on here - and moving back to playing the ball (post) and not the player (poster) - then the system we play now is something that was introduced by Patrick (and James?) Cryne.

Does anyone else remember the meeting with Patrick years ago when he was describing that the first line of attack should be the goalkeeper and the first line of defence should be the strikers ?
So there should be no surprises that Barnsley goalkeepers can not only save shots - but they are also chosen on how accurately they can pass the ball.

There is now a system of CONTINUITY within the club - that no matter who is appointed manager, coach or player - the system of playing remains the same.
In other words - some people on here that are plucking names out of the air regarding new managers or players cannot have been listening to what the club has been saying for a while now.

Pretty much. And identifying players that suit the style of play and have the right attributes, so you’ve got less upheaval when you switch Head Coaches. Sounds great in theory, but doesn’t work in practice as certain players respond different to certain styles of management.

You’ll never avoid that churn of players as much as you try and avoid it,
