Would love the club to come out upfront and explain exactly what is going off on the manager and transfer front. Even if it’s something we don’t want to hear......it would go a long long way in building some bridges with fans knowing and trusting the board and club.

Everyone knows the current situation with the manager and if the club openly said that they are aware of the negotiations taking place with Red Bull and that there is a plan in place in case Struber goes then I for one would applaud that.

Every club is great at announcing good news but not many keep fans updated on uncertain things. I’d respect them far far more to just be open and upfront about certain things that “they can” update us on, even if it’s something we might not want to hear (eg a manager leaving or player we love) Obviously the legal stuff can’t be disclosed which is fair enough.

How fantastic would the relationship be?

But again, is there anything to communicate? It seems to be public knowledge that Struber has been given permission to speak to NYRB. If the club came out, mid negotiations, what are they going to say?

Every time the club releases any sort of statement, 90% of fans on social media are up in arms. So what's the point?

The club should air all it's linen in public. It should broadcast to the BBC and SSN that we're after "X" Striker and how much it is about to pay for him and will be applauded when he signs for someone else for an extra £1.

Regarding the new boss situation. Bearing in mind that Struber might not go to New York it should announce that it's in the hunt for a new boss and thus make Struber's position untenable?

That was my first thought. I don't think you can criticise the CEO for telling people RB were interested but hadnt met the valuation yet.

They might have confirmed it officially when it had been, but it was trailed by quite a few journos so theyd informed the media to leak the confirmation.
