I have to admit. I’ve always accepted. That getting the virus is inevitable ( from day one) . I still work on the shop floor so to speak alongside colleagues. I formed a bubble with my family. 2 of which are grandkids. Going to school. ( I hate the fact I dare not cuddle em like I used to) I try to stick to the rules with best intentions. I try to lead a life as normal as is possible.( It has now become the new normal.) wearing masks. Visors. Trying to keep distance. The issue I have is those people that blatantly ignore ( I’m alright jack screw everyone else) the guidelines. I’m in the amber category. But there are much more vulnerable than me. And the less risks I take are hopefully enough to keep those more vulnerable safe. Until a vaccine is found . This virus is going to be round a hell of a long time. Which is why I honestly believe we will be lucky to see any games this season. Let alone this year. It ain’t going away soon and when it does start to decrease again the government won’t be quick to act for the fear of a third spike. Tis why I think the guidelines have been mismanaged throughout. I remember someone on here criticising me because I didn’t accept that football chairman and the powers that be, said we’ll be back in stadiums in full before Xmas. ( was at the early stages of the ban on fans). It was so laughable his/her response, That they thought the football authorities knew more about the pandemic. Having inside information. Than joe public. . Can I also add it’s been great seeing a lot more young uns wearing masks. Something, some of their elders ought to be doing. Unless anyone has breathing issues. Why not. I have Minor breathing issues. and depending where I am I’ll wear a visor. But in more busy area’s will wear the mask.
Its a very interesting read and does rather support the Swedish approach but its by no means one that will be universally accepted I genuinely dont know what the right approach really is but the government policy seems to be based on what they think the public want rather than giving leadership which to me means we are getting the worst of both worlds - lots of inconvenience, trashing the economy and not controlling the disease either
Was reading last night that Sweden are warning about the population relaxing after a rising number of cases after the biggest daily rise in cases since July. Their official guidance is to avoid large gatherings and to keep your distance from other people.
