Looked good in between the boxes, particularly down the right and via Styles. Mowatt has won a huggin of balls in that position where he is wasted and Woodrow playing well imo too. Eight guys have put in a sterling performance to look that good whilst carrying the pathetic Ritzmaier, snail-like Frieser (has he also got industrial strength springs in his insteps?) and game but non-contributory Schmidt. Absolutely nothing up front and yet again the absence of any left-footed defensive players costing us dearly.
I wasn't even thinking about cover it was knees up to his chest with no control over himself whatsoever but keepers get away with it.
Surprisingly how easy it is to beat us when you put a decent team out...like a knife to butter at times the way Chelsea go through us.... have they got out of second gear yet....whilst I've enjoyed the game its obviously Men against boys.....yes weve played some neat triangles pleasant on the eye at times but that's it no end product ........too much tippy tappy football at times...personally I think we are getting taught a lesson...big time.....
Poor from Mowatt , easily shifted off the ball in dangerous areas or goes to ground too easily as in the Brentford equaliser last season , done that a few times this season as well but fortunately not been punished as yet .
How embarrassing will it get? I can accept a 2-0 or 3-0 defeat to a top team, but we’re just handing it to them on a plate. I can’t imagine this is going to give them much confidence for Saturday!
And the manager makes them play this way despite the fact that they should not be doing it against the 3rd best side in England.
