Well said TM, we're back to Labour being a slightly less nasty version of the Tories.

I'm astounded that Labour voters are cheering on an authoritarian out of control govt, with the only criticism being that they should have been more authoritarian earlier, and stronger. Nobody's asking questions - Starmer laid out no policies yesterday, lets see if he quizzes the buffoon at PMQ's today. Doubt it though. He'll go back to what he thinks is his safe ground of The NHS. Zero fcuks given for the impending unemployment, financial and mental health crisis that this cack handed regime are delivering us.
Big laugh sat at home on 80%. Reality is on the way.

Farewell. Think about how many years we would be out of government with Oh Jer-emy Cor-byn. When we find a leader with a chance of reclaiming the vote we trash him.
Not as socialist as me coz I’m more socialist than thou!
If left wing politics has been so successful where is the red wall? It’s in blue pockets.
    We’ll manage without thee!

Change of leader and most change sides from supporting the leader to not supporting and then vice versa. You have become the person you argued with but will still go to tremendous lengths to get over your point or is it their point? Divide and conquer.

Have all those things suddenly stopped due to a Tory government? I think if you take out the miners strike. People moan about the Tory government so much because they're in power the most. Maybe if Labour were in power long enough people would be able to have a more informed negative opinion towards them too. It all brings me back to this. They were voted in more than anybody else. There must be a reason for this.

Was a response to the achievements of the tories. What is not in dispute is those claims by the tories are on the back of labour. If not. they are mainly figures used to deceive the public. Having reduced the numbers in the NHS and police for example to where they HAD to rethink. Then con the public. ( the gullible lot) that things have never been better. As for getting less votes do we really have to go over this again. The gullible were lied to and conned. The right wing media totally tore into labour with the biggest smear campaign of a labour leader in my lifetime. Those in poverty like Turkey’s voting for Xmas.

I'm not responding to achievements of the Tories. I'm asking if they're so bad why have they been elected so much? They haven't hoodwinked the nation for 70 out of the last 100 years surely?

The press and other media outlets. For me carry the biggest influence. Far more than a manifesto could ever do. The press destroyed Corbyn with lies. Lies and more lies. Yet we have the Biggest Proven liar running the country. Up there with Jeffrey Archer. Yet people keep buying his books (JA) and make him a millionaire several times over. Paul Foot, probably my favourite ever columnist. exposed him for what he was, a persistent liar.
